Sarcoma Foundation of America, the largest private funder of research in the sarcoma community, announced the recipients of its 2026 Research Grant Program.

BETHESDA, MD, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA), an organization dedicated to advancing sarcoma research and awareness and the largest private funder of research in the sarcoma community, has announced the recipients of its 2026 Research Grant Program. SFA has awarded eight research grants totaling almost $600,000 to scientists pursuing innovative research to better understand sarcoma, develop new treatments, and ultimately find a cure for these rare cancers.

Eight research grants, each providing up to $75,000, have been awarded to researchers dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of sarcoma, cancers that develop in the body’s soft tissue and bone. All proposals undergo peer review by members of SFA’s Medical Advisory Board, who select the most promising research with the potential to advance progress toward a cure.

Since its inception, SFA has invested more than $27 million in sarcoma research through its research grant program and collaborative research initiatives, helping accelerate discoveries and support the next generation of sarcoma research.
