New service delivers in-house custom-built dashboards tailored for customers’ unique use business use cases.

SACRAMENTO, CA, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Rhombus, a leader in cloud-managed physical security, today announced Rhombus Studio, a custom build service designed to turn unique operational needs into live dashboards and mini-apps for organizations across education, transportation, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, self-storage, agriculture, and other industries.

Organizations today want more from their physical security systems. Cameras, access control, and sensors are already capturing an enormous amount of data every second of every day. The question is no longer just, "is my building secure?" It's "what else can this system tell me?"

Every organization runs differently, and many have operational questions their security system was never designed to answer. A mulch manufacturer wants to see, count, measure, and track different types of mulch being produced from their cameras. A train yard needs to know when rail cars arrive out of sequence. A gym wants to see when its front desk goes unstaffed or how often different exercise machines are being utilized daily. A multi-site operator wants device health for every location on a single page. Until now, most physical security platforms offered the same standard dashboards and insights to every customer, no matter their industry, operational questions, or goals.

Rhombus Studio closes that gap. Rhombus's in-house team works directly with customers and channel partners to define the need and create custom dashboards with Rhombus’ 900+ LLM-friendly API endpoints. Each build draws live data from Rhombus cameras, IoT sensors, and access control, with AI-driven logic that can run continuously from every second to every hour. Custom dashboards are accessible directly within the Rhombus platform, with nothing extra to install or download.

“Since releasing our CLI and MCP server almost a year ago, we've been amazed at the response from our customers and partners. The world is no longer looking for a one-size-fits-all solution. Customers don't want a deeply embedded/closed ecosystem with a single pane of glass - they want their own custom pane of glass.

However, not every customer or partner has the time or resources to build their own solutions with our CLI and MCP server. They can articulate what they want, but building/hosting/maintaining a customized solution is more than many can invest.

So we built Rhombus Studio - a white glove, custom built solution. Built by Rhombus, maintained by Rhombus, envisioned by our customers and partners.”

–Brandon Salzberg, CTO at Rhombus

Channel partners can now say yes to prospects whose needs go beyond standard security platform features, without taking on custom development themselves. Where custom work on security data has typically meant engaging a third-party agency, Rhombus designs, builds, and hosts each dashboard itself, and can deliver a working proof of concept on a customer’s real data. For partners who prefer to build themselves, the same experiences can be created on the open Rhombus CLI, giving teams the capability to build dashboards and experiences on their own.

How Rhombus Studio Works

1. Customer purchases a customized dashboard — Customers work with the Rhombus team, through their channel partner, to define the exact problems they are looking to solve and what Rhombus can build. Rhombus will let you know what hardware is needed to bring your idea to life and connect you with an installation partner if you don’t already have one.
2. Rhombus builds it — Customers get tailor-made dashboards without hiring a developer or contracting a third party, going from idea to working build in days, not months.
3. Ongoing hosting — Dashboards can be accessed within customers’ Rhombus Console accounts. Each dashboard is hosted and paid annually, with pricing based on the dashboard's complexity.

Custom Views into Every Part of Your Business

Examples of how Rhombus Studio can support organizations include but are not limited to:
• Efficiency Dashboards: Turning cameras into productivity meters that count, measure, and track output in real time.
• Space and Occupancy Utilization: Understand how people actually use a physical space. See where customers go, how long areas sit empty, and when attention or staffing is needed.
• Infrastructure & Systems Management: Dashboards that manage security ecosystems such as hardware health across multiple sites.
• Smart Detection and Predictive Alerts: If it's recorded on camera, traced on a smart sensor, or captured with access control, it can be in your dashboard. Systems that don't just watch, but recognize a specific event or anomaly and trigger action.

Any Industry. Every Use Case.

Dashboards can be built with Rhombus Studio for the needs of any industry. Healthcare facilities can track PPE compliance and handwashing between patients. Schools can flag hallway activity during class periods. Construction sites can verify that subcontractors arrive wearing hard hats and other required protective equipment. The possibilities are endless.
