Zelenskyy Enacts Sanctions Decree Targeting 95 People, 70 Firms
The presidential office released a statement confirming the decree implements a National Security and Defense Council resolution, with the vast majority of sanctioned parties being Russian citizens and residents.
"These are individuals and companies linked to servicing Russia's state defense order and to the activities of its military-industrial complex," the statement said.
According to the announcement, those penalized encompass corporations and their leadership involved in manufacturing and distributing communications technology, electronic warfare systems, and microelectronics components destined for "Russia's military-industrial complex and security agencies."
"Sanctions have been imposed on industrial enterprises in Russia's chemical, extractive, and metallurgical sectors, as well as in its fuel and energy complex," the statement added.
Ukraine will maintain coordination with international allies to harmonize these restrictive measures across "partner jurisdictions," the readout indicated.
"Some of these listings will be reflected in the 20th sanctions package of the European Union, which is currently being prepared."
The move represents Kyiv's latest effort to economically isolate Moscow's defense infrastructure and disrupt supply chains critical to Russia's military operations.
